Mini-rafts are relatively stable pneumatic (inflatable) kayaks that are maneuvered with two-bladed paddles. They are much easier than traditional kayaks, making them suitable for even those without a course and lacking specific experience or skill. If you're an enterprising and adventurous person and want to experience the thrill of tackling the Sesia rapids alone or with a partner, a mini-raft is the perfect river experience for you! Mastering rapids with evocative names like Trancia, Ubriaco, or Igloo will be a real pleasure. Safety is a top priority for all our adventures. Monrosa will provide the best equipment, and you'll always have experienced and qualified instructors by your side to provide you with the necessary instructions and help you if you encounter any difficulties. Important information
- Payments on site can only be made by cash, bank transfer, PayPal or SatisPay.
- River activities must be undertaken while fully alert and sober. Participation after consuming alcohol or drugs is therefore strictly prohibited.
- All activities offered by our centre take place even in the event of rain.
- If particularly adverse river or weather conditions prevent the activities from being carried out safely, we will contact you to arrange a new date or refund the deposit paid.
Frequent questions - Mini-raft
Yes, rain doesn't prevent you from enjoying the experience on the water and can make the activity even more fun and unique. The trip is cancelled or modified only when weather or river conditions make it unsafe. The Monrosa Rafting center will then contact you to arrange any changes to dates, times, or refunds.
No, no previous experience is necessary; in fact, the activities are designed for even first-time river rafters. Before departure, you'll attend a briefing where the guides will provide you with all the necessary instructions for a safe descent.
Rock shoes aren't the best choice for river walking because their soles are too flexible and don't provide adequate foot protection. Closed shoes with rigid soles, such as sneakers, are better.
For safety reasons, bringing personal items during the activity is prohibited, and electronic devices may get wet or lost. We offer professional photography services or waterproof action camera rentals. Photos will be available for purchase at the end of the activity.
The appointment is at our center at the agreed-upon time. It's not necessary to arrive early, but we ask that you arrive on time. If you'd like to arrive earlier, you're always welcome. We're located in a beautiful, large green area on the banks of the Sesia River, and we have a café waiting to help you while you wait.
Don't worry: we're available to accommodate our clients' needs and, when possible, we can consider date changes or reservation modifications to allow you to participate at a later time. Yes, we offer double minirafts, specifically designed for couples. It's an ideal option for those who want to share the experience with another person and tackle the route together on the same boat.
Packrafts and minirafts are very stable inflatable canoes and, unlike traditional kayaks, don't require any special technique to navigate a river. Kayaking requires technique and experience, so before you can even tackle the classic stretch of the Sesia, you'll need a series of practical lessons. If you're looking for a fun activity that can also be enjoyed as a couple, then minirafting is the perfect option. If you want to get as close as possible to the thrill of kayaking, a solo packraft is the perfect option!
